SUBJECT:   പ്രണയപൂര്‍വ്വം
എന്തിനെന്നറിയതെയീ പ്രണയം,
മനസ്സിന്റെ അകതാരിന്‍ ദിവ്യ സ്പര്‍ശം.
അതിരുകളില്ലാത്ത ആത്മഹര്‍ഷം.
സ്വപ്നങ്ങള്‍ വര്‍ണ്ണക്കുട നിവര്‍ത്തും,
പ്രണയാര്‍ദ്രമാകുമി പൊന്‍ വസന്തം.
ചന്ദനമരത്തിന്‍ സുഗന്ധമല്ലൊ,
മധുരമാം സ്വരരാഗ സുധകളല്ലൊ,
എവിടെയെന്നറിയാതെ,ഏപ്പൊഴെന്നറിയാതെ,
പാടാന്‍ ശ്രമിക്കുന്ന വരികളല്ലൊ,
ജീവിത ഗന്ധിയാം പൊന്‍ പ്രണയം.
ഭാഷകളില്ലാത്ത,ദേശങ്ങളില്ലാത്ത,
മൗനമാം ഹൃദയത്തുടിപ്പുകള്‍ കോര്‍ക്കുന്ന
തരളിത പുഷ്പമായി ഈ പ്രണയം.
വിരഹത്തിന്‍ നൊമ്പരപ്പാടുകള്‍ മായ്ക്കുവാന്‍
പ്രകൃതി തന്‍ വിസ്മയം പ്രണയമല്ലോ......
